About the event
Tonight, the 40 day liturgical season of Christmas comes to an end. The Feast Day of Candlemas celebrates the Presentation of the Lord to the Temple in Jerusalem. While not well recognized in the United States, many cultures participate in vibrant traditions celebrating Candlemas. Long standing traditions like the Roscon de Reyes , or Kings' Cake, and the sharing of wassail will be highlighted. A figgy pudding may make an appearance if the organizers of this party are brave enough to bake one. Come ring out the end of the Christmas Season with family, neighbors and friends.
